Hi,
When I took phenobarb. I couldn't sleep and was very emotional.I was also thinking of suicide a lot. They finally put me in the hospital and weaned me off of it. Now I tell my medical doctors that I am allergic to it and when asked what happens I tell them it causes me to have suisidal thoughts.

About one month ago our neuro put my 21year old son on Phenobarbital, he is also on keppra, and felbatol, and lamictal. Since we started the phenobarbital, his attiude has gotten worse, very argumentive, and sleepy. has anyone been on phenobarb before, and what side effects did you see.
