Gee.. I know I've been away for quite a while out of the country... so greetin'z all.
I like the song, "Keep On Rockin' In The Free World"; what country are we in?
I served twenty something years in the Army to be told what speech is acceptable and which is sooo frowned upon...censorship and expulsion is threated.
Hey.. at least it wasn't me this time to ruffle feathers..LOL!
Yeah..there are law enforcement agencies who aren't into the free flow of ideas: KGB..GESTAPO.
And, there are groups like Civil Liberties Union and a whole host of 'legal eagles' out there who'd eat Yahoo for lunch (in the US anywhoo) for stifling free speach via the Net.
I believe the US Supreme Court has also held Internet Free Speech in the Affirmative.
This subject is so 'lame-oh'.
You should see the 'adult' stuff here (Yahoo and company).
Those who are interested..
I do like to offer support 'n stuff to others seeking contact with eachother...
I strongly support being here to help and offer support (like friends ought to anyway, right?)
But I can get really depressed..everyday
Discussing Real Life issues beyond just being ill and having seizures... I mean EVERYTHING has it's place.
Hey, we could have like 'The Cold War'...dual Seizure Groups!
One represents the 'Free West'..NATO and gang.... and the other group would be the Totalitarian Communist/Fascist East!!!
Free Flow of Ideas in the West... censorship and control in the other.
Censorship is REPUGNANT!
Cheers anyway ;)

Subject: Re: [epilepsy] excuse me, no mention of marijuana!
I just got off the phone with Jewl, and she said to write this. Jewl has posted before not to talk about this subject and that she can be sued, if this conversation continues. Do not talk anymore about this subject or Jewl will put those talking about it on moderation! Terri

Subject: [epilepsy] Re: medical marijuana and studies - Laura
Hi jnanda,
First let me say that I totally support the use of medical marijuana
for any condition that it has been shown to help. (Truth be told, I
think marijuana should be legalized for all use, but that is a whole
different topic.) My husband used marinol during his battle with
cancer, which is a marijuana-based drug. It did help him. I would be
quite interested in learning about its use for epilepsy.
I do want to make sure people know that medical marijuana is NOT
legal in the majority of states, nor does the federal government
recognize its legality in the states that have passed laws for its
medical use. The only states that have laws allowing for the use of
medical marijuana are Alaska, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Maine,
Maryland, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode
Island, Vermont and Washington.
You should also be aware that the Supreme Court ruled in 2005 that
the feds can arrest Cannabis patients even if there is a law in their
state allowing its use.
Take care,
Tammy
