I will speak from my own experience, which is limited, so take it for what it is worth. The end of last year I was doing Fast5 and had great success with weightloss..
I stopped Fast5 between Christmas and New Years of last year and just started it up again... it will be 2 weeks this week. This time I am working out 4-5 days a week, cardio and strength training. I am "easing" into my fast window only eating raw vegetables and drinking water with lemon juice. These things have helped me tremendously, albeit this is just week 2. I have gained noticeable muscle mass in the past could of weeks as well which has been very encouraging. I have felt better than I ever have while attempting the Fast5. I know it's not yet a text book Fast5, but I'm in no hurry... my raw vegetable consumption has lessened over the past week, as I have been adusting to the fast so I'm on my way. The lemon water has helped me a GREAT deal with the spaciness I was experiencing too... I thank everyone for all of their great advice, it has proven to work so far.
Again, just my own experience and limited at that, time is the greatest test, so we'll see if things continue going as well as they seem to be going now.
For what it's worth...
