Hello all. I won't be coming on for a few days. Right now I'm a little ticked off. First we had the MSG rants... now the free radical rants. I'm really upset by the implication that ALL disease and ailments can be cured by one simple little solution. Don't you think that if that were true the fad of free radical removal would have found it by now? Or that our scientists that spend billions of dollars studying them would have mentioned such a "minor" side effect of removing them?
Personally, I feel that these people with "instant" cures are trivializing the suffering that so many of us endure. Worse, most of them do it for money and are salesmen for some new age garbage that is designed (or just labeled) to "do" whatever they claim is the cure. I don't need any snake oil salesmen, thanks anyways. I'm tired of people saying you don't need doctors or medications, just swallow my magic potion and you'll be fine. Free radicals didn't give me a minor birth defect in my brain. Free radicals didn't smash my head in with a toolbox or slam it into the wall over and over again. Yes, it's possible that somewhere out there in nature is a wonderful herb that contains the secret to curing seizures in many people. But I highly doubt it's ever going to be a simple one size fits all cure for every disease.
So unless you're a neurologist and KNOW what you're talking about with studies to back you up, I don't want to hear what you THINK or BELIEVE causes epilepsy. I certainly don't want to be told that it can be cured if only I weren't too lazy to get off my butt and do or drink whatever you think could cure it. I'm in a whole lot of pain tonight and can barely see straight from the medications I'm on. The last thing I needed from a support group was to feel trivialized!
