Hi CBI,
Lack of sleep is a common trigger for seizures. That includes messing
up your sleep schedule (going to bed and/or getting up at a
significantly different time than one usually does.) That's actually
the only trigger we have established for Megan's seizures. Megan has
had seizures on a number of occasions where her sleep schedule was
seriously disrupted. Prom night her sophomore year was a good
example. She went to prom and then to a friend's for an after party
and stayed up much later than usual. She came home and slept some of
the day on Sunday, but had a seizure at school on Monday.
Take care,
Tammy
