Yes, SSI rather than SSDI also depends on your educational background. For
some stupid reason. I remember doing the research on this, and there's this
thing known as "the chart", which shows a comparison of how much education
you've had, work history, and your age range. I suppose they have to figure
out how to gauge people somehow, but I think it stinks. If you google SSI,
or go on the SSA page, and search for the Blue Book, or anything for SSI,
you'll eventually find it.
