Black Bean and Cilantro Spread - 7g Carbs, 3g Fiber, 1g Sugar

Servings: 10
Makes: 1 1/4 cups
One 15 or 16oz can black beans, rinsed and drained
2 tsp fresh lime juice
1 tsp olive oil
1/4 to 1/2 tsp hot pepper sauce
1/4 cup fresh cilantro leaves
2 Tbsp finely diced red onion
Puree the beans, lime juice, oil, and pepper sauce in a food
processor or blender, scraping down the sides once or twice.
Add the cilantro. Process just until the leaves are
coarsely chopped and well mixed. Stir in the red onion.
Serve at room temperature. (If chilled, the
mixture will be difficult to spread.)
