[epilepsy] Epilepsy and disability

 

Greetings all,
I most likely posted this information before, but I keep hoping
others here will benefit from this. Since I did not work post
getting married in 1968, I just got used to always having the radio on. One day,I heard a brief statement on the radio about applying
for disability if epileptic. Since we lived in an area about 50 miles
north of Manhattan, the only bus location was almost 9 miles from home
and of course not reachable without license. It took almost a year
of filling forms and other parts necessary, but I was granted disability. Since I had it for so many years before changing over to
regular social security, the monthly amount is much higher than usual
since it increases regularly with time. If by chance you are interested, it is worth taking the time to do it. Good luck.
