[epilepsy] Re: KeepSmiling: Catch 22

 


Your post is interesting to me, too. Most of my grand mal seizures have been nocturnal, and I agree it's totally wrong to stop one's medication altogether especially if it's suddenly, although I did at one time. I didn't have problems at all, mainly due to reducing the stress in my life, but when the seizures and all related symptoms returned...boy did they ever.

What I've done now is just reduce the amount of one of my seizure medications, keppra, to avoid feeling over medicated and, to get back to the point, not be totally dysfunctional.

Again, the catch 22 is being totally dysfunctional (neurologically) because of of seizures or being being totally dysfunctional from being too medicated. I'm trying to find a happy medium.
