Andrea,

I have been on Vimpat for a couple of years now. It cut the number of
seizures I had per month down. I still have some, but they are not as bad
as beforre I started taking it. I am taking 300mg a day. My neurologist had
me on 400mgs(200 twice a day) and it seemed to make me depressed too much.
I got it cut back down to 300 a day and I can deal with that. Other than
that the only thing I have noticed is I get droopy of the afternoon, If I
just sit around, and not too active, I end up taking a nap. It is a
medicine that you don't have to have blood levels checked on. If you
switch, I hope it works for you. TC.
