Re: [epilepsy] Re: pop awake?

Doris,

I, too, wake during the night and could probably go to sleep if I really tried -- but
I usually find something to do-- like computer, watch TV, read, etc. I'm quite
often up around 3 am and I don't go to bed before midnight usually.

I'm sure I am sleep deprived -- so it doesn't bother me to sleep during the day --
if I have nothing else going on. And if you see my calendar I have a lot of things
going on. My calendar looks like it has the chicken pox.

I've been on Dilantin and Phenabarb for over 20 years. My last sz was over 4
years ago.

Millie

Very interesting comments on "pop awake" and experiences. I
am not quite clear about this, but wanted to both share and ask
something. I have been on Lamictal for years, and a big part of this is dealing with insomnia. It has just become an expected
nightly thing. I tend to stay up several hours after waking during
the night. I had surgery about 12 years ago now, and I still get
seizures but only nocturnal. If you experience similar results
and take Lamictal, how do you handle this. I am hesitant about
maybe going to doctor and asking since I do not want to change drugs
again. Next year is a biggie anniversary of taking drugs, and more
years than I want to even admit I am! Doris
