Matthew, I know little about Canadian laws, but I do know what things are like in the US, and I think that even if all those things happened in the past, you should be able to fight those archaic decisions in terms of current knowledge of epilepsy and, I imagine, some standards of rights for those with disabilities that Canada currently holds. In the US, we have laws against the kind of things you are talking about, and I can't believe they haven't currently got similar laws in Canada. Consult with a lawyer who specializes in this kind of thing. Or, worst case, move your butt south of the border, my friend. It just seems completely crazy to live your life this way when you are perfectly intelligent and able-bodied. Find an American girlfriend, get married and get your green card! :)
I really want you to stop wasting your time and your life feeling bitter and unfulfilled and DO something to get the rights and the life you deserve. I mean this in the kindest way. This is the only life we get. Don't let the decisions of some buffoons take your life away from you.
Best of luck!
Hugs,
Tammy
