Does Epilepsy make us shy? No, not a bit. BUT, the anti-seizure medication dampens our brain waves so we don't react as quickly as most people in social settings. We don't have the speed to keep up in a lot of social conversations and bantering. The result is people who don't know us think we're "slow". I don't tell everybody I have epilepsy; it's private information.

I had a very bad experience with the flu bug in 2000. My temp got over 102 and I started having gran mals again. Five in one week that I was told about. So I get my flu shot every year and keep plenty of Tylenol, Advil, and Buffered Aspirin available. But if it comes, it comes. Such is life.
