I am sorry you're having these problems. Yahoo Groups has been very difficult to work with in the past 2 years. They put in a new operating system. The system yahoo.com/neo was rolled out to members randomly. It has brought all kinds of problems to members and list owners. They have written to Yahoo and expressed their concerns and difficulties. Those issues have not been addressed and the problems continue. It is extremely frustrating!

I have been on Yahoo Groups since the late 90s. I've owned several lists during that time. Most of the functions to manage a list take several more steps to accomplish. Several functions for owners and members either do not exist anymore or have limits in scope that were not there in the past. Because of all of this membership and activity on lists has dropped like a rock across the board. List with subjects from pet owners to faith issues to medical conditions have all seen these difficulties with Yahoo. There have even been articles in business news regarding Yahoo management.

So what to do? There are other forums that run lists. Some owners have decided to go there. Yahoo had been one of the better options but that is no longer true. Personally I switched one of my smaller lists to a new forum, Group.io which is free and offers a variety of new tools. It's up to each list owner and list to decide what they want to do. Some list find people migrating to Facebook. But many members dealing with sensitive, personal, or medical issues hesitate to use Facebook as a forum for support.

Why am I writing all this? To let average members know why you're seeing what is happening. Is incredibly frustrating to me and hundreds of other list owners. We are in age when social media is everywhere and we are constantly told what a vital tool is for people. We already know that! We found how helpful it is! Yet the forum we've used Yahoo Groups is neglecting its customers and in an age when social media and technology is connecting people instantaneously, Yahoo Groups is putting up a roadblock after roadblock.

It aggravates me because I know there are so many people looking for information and support. So a social media and technology is sending out people's thoughts about the Kardashians, sports, or some political gaffe within an hour of it happening to millions of people-we are struggling to find answers, resources, and support to serious medical conditions!

Hi,
I can understand and realize: somehow my computer or e-mail settings aren't making contact with the yahoo in a way.
I really think my e-mail is not currently updated in their automatic computer - if at once they did change something - but I never received that info to update with their changes, leaving the emballance.
what would be the correct way I can contact them and like if there is an e-mail that I can send them to let them know: and maybe they can send-me that update or upgrade to get my e-mail recognized with them again?
thank you
