The music of soul superstar Prince is set to be celebrated at a special benefit concert featuring hip-hop collective The Roots, Booker T. Jones, rapper Talib Kweli and funk rockers Living Colour.
The show will feature The Roots as the house band at New York's fabled Carnegie Hall and will also include performances by gospel group Blind Boys of Alabama, rockers DeVotchka, jazz star Madeleine Peyroux, and folk band The Waterboys, among others, all hitting the stage in honour of Prince.
The big gig, organised by philanthropist Michael Dorf, is due to take place on 7 March (13) and will help to fund music education programs for underprivileged kids.
