I agree with you 110% Matthew. Am Canadian too and was told could take over but right from scratch. Even
though I knew how, I would get all nervous just at the thought of phoning for that apt. to go for just the
beginners. Live in a small small town so said to myself just skip it. Tried it once on a two lane while did
have long ago, and panicked just at people passing me fast. That was on a two lane highway at that.
Figure safer is much better than sorry.

In Canada, if you haven't driven a vehicle for more than 3 years, you must do the Road Test again. However,
if you had a seizure, and your license was taken away, you can ask for it back after 6 months.

However, they may ask you to re-do the road test, out of fear that your brain may not know the things it knew
before the seizure. Sounds discriminatory, but they claim "The Safety of Thousands is More Important than the
Pleasures of Just One."
