Changes In Prince Tour There's good news and bad for Prince fans today as the Purple One and adds a gig in the U.S. and scratches a Canadian date from his winter schedule.
Prince was supposed to bring his Welcome 2 America tour to the Credit Union Centre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Dec. 11, but that show has vanished into the land of broken promises and forgotten dreams. Actually, the nixing was more businesslike with Live Nation blaming "scheduling conflicts" for dropping Saskatchewan from the schedule, saying fans who purchased tickets online would receive automatic refunds and folks who bought their tix via old-fashioned brick-and-mortar establishments in the physical world would receive refunds at points of purchase. But while Saskatchewan mourns losing a night starring the Artist Formerly Known As A Symbol, fans in Tacoma, Wash, are looking forward to when their hero plays the Tacoma Dome Dec. 19. Tickets ranging from $20 to $199 go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. local time. For more information, visit the Tacoma Dome's website.
