Prince was inspired to make and announce a children's music album called
Happy Tears, credited to
Prince and Mayte. The album was supposed to have been released on
November/1996. The album was going to include a book of children's stories with it. To promote the album,
Prince guest-starred on the show
Muppets Tonight, and performed the only song confirmed that would have been included on the album, "
She Gave Her Angels", which remained unreleased until inclusion on the "
Crystal Ball" set. The album was likely cancelled due to
Prince's son Gregory's passing one week after birth."
