By now I'm sure you've partaken of the new
bubbly and have made your discernments, but I thought I'd allow time for the album to "
Condensate" before popping the top once more and pouring out a glass for you, the reader here at
2tha9s.com.
The samples included in today's post are what I felt were most reminiscent of the "Original" vibe, either in melody or verse.
Unexpectedly, it was the slow jams that most struck my fancy, coming largely from the Morris Day "Character" perspective. That being said, there was a strong resemblance of grooves gone by in each of them but the end result was still a pleasurable (no pun intended) Xperience.
"
Cadillac" is also a road worthy little piece of
Minneapolis funk and comes along for the ride (man, I'm just full 'em today) as the 3rd preview to the full release as posted by my man
7, made available
HERE.
I won't delve any further with criticism of the heavy pop-oriented infusion that burden the singles (as generated for mainstream audience enthusiasm) only to add that who can blame Jam and Lewis for wanting to capture more market share, right?
Anyway, I do revere the release and hope you'll enjoy this brief review.
Please feel free to provide feedback +/- with both-
