Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
-------- ------------ --------------------------------
1 Cup mayonnaise
1 1/2 teaspoons ALEPPO PEPPER -- (to 2 1/2 t.)
2 teaspoons lemon juice
1/2 teaspoon dried garlic flakes -- or garlic powderr
1 teaspoon water
salt -- to taste

In a medium sized bowl, mix GRANULATED GARLIC and water, let stand 5 minutes. Add mayonnaise, lemon juice and ALEPPO PEPPER, mix well. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use, taste and add salt as desired - a dash is usually all that is required.

Yield: 1 cup (9 two-tablespoon servings)
Prep. time: 5 minutes.
Cooking time: none.

Deliciously creative spread for many uses - perfect on a club sandwich, as on our cover - especially with the creative addition of a layer of avocado to the faux turkey, faux bacon, lettuce and tomato.

The Aleppo Pepper in the spread will become hotter overnight - for great flavor with only a little bite, use the lesser amount of Aleppo Pepper and refrigerate for an hour before serving, which will be enough time for the flavors to develop and the spread to start turning its characteristic shade of pink. For great flavor
with more heat, which many love, use the full amount, and if the spread can be refrigerated overnight, so much the better.
