I was watching on my DvR last night's Jimmy Fallon because he was having Michael Stipe from R.E.M. (Now defunct) about their 40-song cd that just came out with their "greatest hits collection" and Jimmy asked if any songs like "Tongue" that the fans liked but wasn't on the collection...and Michael said Tongue (which was on their last studio album in 2008) is a song about how Michael Stipe trying to "trump Prince on everything he tried to do in his career into one song" interesting right? But get this, at least on the west coast version of the show there were obvious cuts after that point in the interview where I assume the had to edit the interview at that point. I wonder what was said and who demanded the edit....Prince? Prince's lawyers? And does anyone have a copy of the east coast feed of the show where it may or may not have been edited?
