The company claimed that Prince halted their efforts to release a fragrance that happened to be named the same as one of his albums. The court recommended that the star fork over $3.95 million - a sum which will have to be confirmed by a second judge next week. A lawyer for the Purple Rain star, although no immediately available for comment, did previously say that they would fight the suggested award sum. Revelations Perfume and Cosmetics Inc. says it licensed Prince's name, likeness and the album title "3121" to market its fragrance in 2006. The Huntingdon Valley, Penn.-based company says Prince broke promises to help promote the scent after its July 2007 launch. 'Since July 2007, despite repeated attempts by Revelations there have been virtually no communications from anyone who could commit to or coordinate any promotional efforts by Prince,' the suit stated.  Not the first time: the singer has been sued several times before This is not the first time this year that the singer has found himself in legal hot water. He was sued back in March by his former lawyers who claimed he owed them more than $700,000 in unpaid fees. More...The firm, Patterson Belknap Webb & Tyler, said in documents filed in Manhattan Supreme Court that Prince -- whose real name is Prince Rogers Nelson -- paid only $125,000 for their legal services during Prince's divorce and three other court cases in California, New York and Ireland.
