[epilepsy] Re: A sad day with a new job that I lost with a lie

Hello,
I have been having seizures for over 25 years, about six doctors later they got them under control( grand mal that is) everything was going fine got my license back got my Associates in Electronics started in the elevator trade and about six years later it got to where if I missed a med by just 1 hour( take my meds 3 times a day) then one week later I would feel bad and have a small blackout seizure maybe one minute long, the only thing is you drive alot in this trade so I wrecked a few cars trying to get to work when feeling bad. Well I finally got a stable job at one place all day and my wife would drive me to work it lasted five years until my boss started making up stuff to look like I wasn't doing my job because they were not going by the contract and having the
right amount of workers on shift. In other words thru my under the bus to cover their but, also I was the highest paid, so I got let go and started having to go out and start driving again for a different elevator company, after a year and a half I got laid off and it has been about six months since I had a job because it is hard to find a job in my field that does not require driving I'm still looking but my unemployment is about to run out. Times are tough and so is EPILEPSY!!!

I have a drivers license because I never told the govt about the seizures for over 20 ys. I have been working only 1 week and have been feeling uncomfortable about the risks on others if I drive again. And so they had to release me because the grocery shopping was a major part of the position and there was no one else. Now honesty has reduced the risk to other drivers but badly hurt this home where they have been trying to replace this position for over a month as the present chef is moving on to other work and had only stayed to help out until they found a replacement that could do both jobs.
