The purple one announced a multi-city tour beginning in December. Titled "Welcome 2 America" the tour will feature guest appearances by Cassandra Wilson, Lalah Hathaway, Mint Condition, Esperanza Spalding, andJanelle Monae, whom he called his "favorite new artist."
During a packed press conference at the historic Apollo Theater in New York City, Prince warned everyone to "bring some foot spray 'cause its gonna be funky."
Prince also plugged the education documentary "Waiting for Superman" and announced that the gold-plated Fender guitar he would be playing on the tour would be auctioned off to the Harlem Children's Zone.
