The purple one announced a multi-city tour beginning in December. Titled "Welcome 2 America" the tour will feature guest appearances by Cassandra Wilson, Lalah Hathaway, MintCondition , Esperanza Spalding, andJanelle Monae, whom he called his "favorite new artist."
During a packed press conference at the historic Apollo Theater in New YorkCity , Prince warned everyone to "bring some foot spray 'cause its gonna be funky."
Prince also plugged the education documentary "Waiting for Superman" and announced that the gold-plated Fender guitar he would be playing on the tour would be auctioned off to the Harlem Children's Zone.
