[epilepsy] Vitamin D-Terri

Terri, have you had your vitamin D tested? AED use will make most of us D deficient, especially in a cool climate or with a lifestyle that means little time outside during the warm months. The most obvious effect of D deficiency is pervasive pain all over the body, especially the joints. I was dx'ed with profound D deficiency (a level of 2--normal is between 40 and 100), and this was my most debilitating symptom. It turned out that a lifetime of AEDs and many years of antibiotics (which discourage time in the sun, lowering D) are both to blame.

If your D is exceptionally low, aggressive D therapy for a few months will help. In 3 months, mine was into the 40s. :)

Good luck!

LIZARD :)

I had a kphysical todya and with my other health problems, arthritis and my szs, the dr told me to hire an attorney and get disability. I sure hope this works this time as I have tried three other times and was turned down. At that time I did not have arthritis all over my body and now its alot worse.

Does anyone know if what your spuse makes for a living have anything to do with it? I live in Tx so I guess I will have to ask an attorney.

Wish me luck..

Terri
