[epilepsy] Re: Curious ...

Hi Christian,

Both on Messenger and Skype you can invite as many people as you like in a conversation. I used to read posts in the group, see somebody was online the ding them. I would first type the following words "Hi (whatever there name was), I'm Steve from in the Epilepsy group, I read your post, saw you online and thought maybe you would like chatting for a while?

Quickly begin talking and become friends, different people introduce others with each other and soon can make so many friends. Hey, if you want to chat with Julie, just ding her, she enjoys talking with others AY? That is how Canadians talk (giant smile). But really don't be scared to chat with anybody in the group here. At first might be timid but will learn quickly all of us in this group are a tight knit family giving and taking support from each other.

I remember a couple of times talking by voice with 2 others from this group by voice, we all lived on different continents!

Go for it, email somebody, get on each others friends list, ding then talk with one another, pass on another friend you talk with in the group to somebody and in time will make so many different friends. Hey, Julie and I have emailed and spoken here and there for who knows how many years? Take care, keep a smile on your face!

Steve

They allow you to talk to people in real time and to see each other, too. If you don't have a camera, you could still participate. People just won't be able to see you. Multiple people can do this with each other at the same time, although I am not sure of the upwards limit.

Just a friendly reminder: Please remember to sign your post and remember to clean up messages when you reply to them.  This is especially important if you are on digest.  This not only helps out the list owner but, it makes messages much easier to read when they arrive in our inboxes.
