Hi,
Here in Lansing, Michigan we have the Cata bus line which also provides door to door transportation service for the handicapped
and the elderly. The bus line only costs .60 cents one way and the Spectran costs $2.50 one way. Both only require a handicapped pass or a medicare card. I've used this both ways since 1998.

Meghan,
Has anyone out there heard of other options that are open to

Check about golf carts, You can get a plastic cover to cover the whole thing
to keep you dry. Our apartment staff use them.
Also!
I do not know how big your town is but out here in Texas and in Chicago when
we lived there. They had a bus line and they had a special bus just for the
elderly and disabled. They do door to door service, pick you up at your door
and drop you at the place you are going to . IE: The doctors, shopping etc.
Than pick you back up and drop you home.
Call your town hall, clerk and ask if they have this service.
Here is is $5.00 round trip. You buy tickets and give one each time.
