Yes exactly why I was told not to change it, my pharmacist told me that if I change it I will have problems, it is better to stay with the real tegretol.Regards

For me it was the opposite. When I was on the generic tegretol, I was having grand mal seizures every third to fourth month. Since my Dr. Has changed my medication to the real tegretol, 6 years ago this month I have never had a grandmal seizure. I still have complex seizures about 2 times each month.
