Stopping drugs completely is definately not the way to do it.
I have had epilepsy for ages too, since 1962, and I have had the
surgery for this. I still get seizures and still take drugs,
presently Lamictal. Seizures post surgery are better in a way since
they only occur when asleep. A little less than two years ago, my
son at age 41 stopped taking what he was taking for epilepsy and
this resulted in his dying in his sleep. Gosh there are things we
don't understand sometimes, but it is clear that stopping your drugs is not the way to go under any circumstances. Take care,
