Memory si a definite problem for those who have had surgery. Typically
your long term, stored memory is in tact but the short term memory is
effected. This same infomration can often be recalled later, which
means it is stored, but not there to recall right away. Also the brains
ability to filter the information coming in from all the senses is
effected, so it makes remembering new information harder. It also
distracts from the brains ability to store it.
