You cannot blankedly state that. Yes, you can't be fired due to a disability, but it is up to you as well to ask for reasonable accommodations. If there is no job available, they can let you go...it is a very complicated law. If you do not fall under the ADA, you may fall under FMLA time off, and that's a limited time off.
And yes, they can fire you. I receive legal updates every week on cases from around the country. Every case is different. The best thing to do is ask for a reasonable accommodation if you need time off, and read your personnel policies inside and out.
