I would say, not really, it's extremely unlikely, and please tell your mother not to feel guilty!! Many women had labor lasting over twenty-four hours and had healthy babies, you can't control how long labor lasts!! My daughter started having seizures at three days old. I was in labor for only nine hours with her, and the seizures are nothing that anyone caused, nor do we know why she has them. The cause of most seizures is still largely a mystery...

My mother said that she was in labor for 27 hours giving birth to me. She also wonders if that was the reason my seizures developed, and sometimes feels guilty. However, they didn't start until I was four. Do you think that's a possibility?
