That is a good deal. We don't have anything like that here in saint joseph.
If I an get my cataracts done in time we have avan and I can drive us.
Getting kitty litter and cokes and groceries would be tough for us on the bus,

John,
Michael and I have been blessed to move to towns that have a disabled and
elderly bus system. It is door to door service for five dollars round trip.
You can call from 1-6 days in advance and set up an appointment with them

Just curious. How do you shop for food?
I have to go to the VA Hospital (1 hour away) fairly often.
Cabs can get pretty expensive too.

Re: [epilepsy] RE APPLYING FOR LICENSE
I wish I knew which it was.
I had a small stroke in 1994 and it was considered a stroke - i was in the hospital 4 days.
The event just lasted seconds though and I came to and helped my wife find the hospital.
5 days later we were jogging but I was scared of having another for months.
She's kind of in that situation now.
When you've never had a seizure - having one is very scary as I'm sure most epileptics know.
She is scheduled to return to work just this friday and I'm trying to get her to take more time off. She works with half a million dollars a day and is at a casino where the stress of such a focused envirnonment could cause problems.
When my wife has health problems she tunes me out and it's very hard to reach her.on a mental level.
I tell her she needs to ride the exercise bike more to get ready or call and postpone going back.
Thanks for the resoibse,
John Hansen

One time I was admitted to the hospital and the Dr. thought I
had a TIA. But in my opinion -- it acted just like a sz. I didn't
know that a TIA and a sz could be so much alike.

Hi. In medical terminology - it says if he stroke lasted for less than 24 hours it's not a stroke but a tia - tranient ischmic attack and if over 24 hours it's a stroke.
My wife's entire experience was over in four hours. I wonder if that will make it easier for her to get driving rights back again.
I still intend to do most of the driving and always - she'll be a backseat driver like before.
We also dont' know if her two seizures will be considered TIA's, strokes or epilepsy.
She likes video games - should she stay clear of them?
Thanks

Has anyone ever had to take an ENG test from their neurologist that measures
brain waves, dizziness, etc. My general neurologist, not my seizure doctor
is giving me this test and if I fail....she won't re apply for my license.
On line it says you have to stay off anti deperessants for 72 hours.....I've
been on Paxil for 20+ yrs and cannot go off just for this test.
Has anyone else had experience with this?
