Hi Deb
You hit the nail on the head don't pursue and pretty soon the subject will stop. We do have that big red X
there where we can delete if not interested.
I do know for MYSELF and my Dr. told me that magnesium has an ingredient in it that is like a relaxant. Also
that you put that along with our anti-epilepsy medications it helps (that only makes sense), BUT you need to
have a magnesium along with calcium/and vit d :
- Calcium we need for our bones and our teeth
- The Mag. along with the calcium is an important component for strong, healthy bones. Also plays an important
role in neuromuscular contractions
- Vitamin D enhances the calcium absorption in the small intestines and also calcium utilization in bone
formation.
All these need to be in proper well formulated amounts so don't get to much of one and not of the other etc.
Oh am I a sample of this as should of started taking many many years ago as now have Osteoporosis along with
osteoarthritis and other kinds of arthritis. Now aren't I just the lucky one. If had paid attention to my
body and all the little aches and pains would of taken many years ago and maybe not been in the boat or ship I
am in today.
You may say 'oh but I don't have any signs of now'....don' t wait until it is to late and your body looks like
some skeleton from outerspace on the screen when a bone density test is taken.
This is only my story and my experience.
My 2 cents worth for the day.
Julie

Fred,
Just dont answer anymore of the question or anything about the so called proof of magnesium, because there isnt
any proof of it this year. Just change the subject, and go on. From what I read in an earlier post, that
person changed what they had posted about the meds as well. So I am not going to listen to that person at all.
I will just check with my own dr. and see what he says. He has his degree!

Why else is he here, other than to sell something he can show no proof of that works, show me actual proof and
I will stop question his so called claims about magnesium.

Fred Simon,
I have asked the person that speaks continuously about the benefits of magnesium if he wasn't into marketing
it. He said No, and more. In a Marketplace people, attempt to get others interested in their type of product.
I hope this doesn't become a magnesium marketplace.

I have posted here to this group 3 articles - one of which has 28 references.
http://magnesiumfor life.com/ medical-applicat ion/magnesium- in-neurological- diseases- and-emotions/
" Site provides absolutely no research data to back up its claims, all site is interested in is selling books
and absolutely nothing else."
Plus info about another article which has 26 references.
http://magnesiumfor life.com/ medical-applicat ion/magnesium- and-autism/
for example this study -- Low levels of magnesium have long been known to cause hyper excitability with
convulsive seizures in such studies with the well known reversal of such conditions by treatment with
magnesium.[21] Journal of the American College of Nutrition. 2004 Oct;23(5):545S- 548S
I have also posted information about the first study done with epileptics and magnesium showing that all
epileptics are magnesium deficient, plus the Journal it appeared in, as well as author etc etc. I posted this
to illustrate that it is not recent news that seizure activity can be reduced and diminished with magnesium.
Clinical Studies of Magnesium Deficiency in Epilepsy, published in Clinical Physiology 1(2) Fall, 1959
I also posted 2 different websites where anybody could find more studies if they wanted them - over 300
studies in one and many more in the other.
One is the Online Magnesium Library at www.mgwater. com which has over 300 studies and the other is Medline &
Pubmed which has thousands of studies about magnesium. http://www.ncbi. nlm.nih.gov/ pubmed
Tellls of one study on 30 chidren with epilepsy and how magnesium helped them, to small number of people to
give any true results, study is not worth paper it is written on. Give me studies that can back up magnesium
claims . I want at lease 2 studies, done within last 10 years, with no fewer than 100 people in each study,
carried out over at lease a 5 year period to support your claims. So far, what you have provided I myself can
duplicate them and I have only a statisical background.
