I just had a VNS implant 3 weeks ago. It has not been long enough to tell how much control is there yet because they have to slowly increase the strength/voltage every 1-2 weeks. I am at .75 with a goal of 5.0 . So far I have had 3 attacks but my wife says that the length, severity, and recovery had reduced incredibly. Also, it seems to have had a positive effect on the depressive side effects of all the meds I am on. I am 44 ys old with 25 ys of un-controlled gran mal seizures.
