Re: [epilepsy] Re: The verdict and some beers

Hey Rach,

Yeah I'm going to say laying on bed for an EEG instead of putting your hands in water is much nicer, its pretty comfy just you have weird like jelly stuff put in your head and get all these wires stuck on the gel, I'm sure I looked like some Frankenstein project when I had mine done so bring a camera! ;) you'll get a good laugh out of yourself.

And yeah as sad as it is to say i hope you have a seizure during this too, and I bet things will go your way and this test will really bring forth some answers. Then you get to go to the exciting part of figuring out what you want to do!

The boyfriend situation sounds like its really sucking at the moment. I know I havn't known you long or even met you, but from the sounds of things it doesn't seem like he's been around very much lately especially when you're going through all of these different tests and whatnot again. And its got to be a give and take relationship, if all hes doing is waiting on his butt for you to find some way to get to him but he wont return the favor to come to you, thats really not fair.

On the other hand I know what you mean about just wanting to cuddle and feel loved and be held, it always has made me feel better no matter what. So bottom line you're in a tough spot with him and it might be at the point where you need to call him and tell him what your needs are and if he can't meet those expecations then he's not good enough for you and i bet there's another guy that you'll think is even cutter, and like even more and have a ton of fun with him. Lots of stuff to think about, but hang in there you'll know what to do when the time comes (cleche I know lol)

Thanks for being someone to talk to!

Hi there Katy,

When I have my EEGs with new people, it's actually quite funny. They see a

seizure on their screen and say "come back, are you okay?" thinking I just

had a seizure. I don't always notice them, I feel funny but as long as

someone isn't speaking (and thus I need to listen/absorb the info) to me

it's not a problem.

I think the EEG concept is pretty amazing. Those getting the test used to

have to have each hand in a bucket of water. Much nicer to be laying on a

bed I think. :D

I think with the 24hr EEG if no seizure is had then I stay longer. But if I

miss even one dose of medication I have a seizure, so if I don't have a

seizure that's pretty darn bad luck!

Thanks very much Katy. :)
