You are 100% right. Mercury is poison and do you want poison in your mouth...yeiks! The mouth and specially
the tongue are the worst places for habouring toxins (or poison). Brush your tongue and just look at all the

I asked my nana and she did the same thing. She does not have epilepsy
or boy neurological disorder however her doctor randomly recommended
it.
Searching medical journals I have not found any conclusive evidence
about this issue, however mercury itself is poisonous anyway so...
