Lamb Burger, Greek Style - 6.5g Carbs, 1.6g Fiber, 3.4g Sugar
{Note: Feta and Olives are salty. If you are on a low sodium diet this
recipe might be best passed by. Using low sodium olives and leaving out
the "sea salt to taste" will help so take this into consideration.
Take care, Gloria}

Here's a great twist on the traditional hamburger it's a lamb burger
topped with all the things I love about Greek food: feta, tomato, olives,
red onion, and oregano but without the bun. You will not miss it.
Serves: 6
2 lb ground lamb
Sea salt, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper
1 Tbsp dried oregano
4 Tbsp extra-virgin olive oil
6 oz grated feta cheese
2 medium tomatoes, sliced
1/2 medium red onions, thinly sliced
1/2 cup chopped Kalamata olives
2 medium Persian cucumbers, chopped
Place the lamb in a bowl. Season well with sea salt, pepper, and oregano.
Mash together with your hands to combine.
Shape the seasoned meat into 6 patties about 1 1/2 inches thick.
In a saute pan set over medium-high heat add the olive oil, then the
patties in a single layer.
Cook 2-3 minutes on each side. Remove from heat.
Sprinkle immediately with grated feta so it melts a little.
Top with the sliced tomato, slice of red onion, a spoonful of olives,
and a spoonful of cucumbers. Serve immediately.
