[epilepsy] Another Generic

Hi Everyone,

I was given a generic version of Effexor XR without my permission. I picked up four prescriptions today and Walgreens never asked or even told me that they were switching me to a new generic antidepressant. I have read on the internet that some patients taking generic Effexor have not felt well. This generic has been out for one month.

A couple of months ago they did the same thing with generic Keppra. There is a lawsuit against one of the companies that manufactures generic Keppra. It has caused seizures in patients who were controlled by the name brand Keppra.

Has anyone tried the generic? Do you think that it will be safe to take the generic or should I insist on the brand name Effexor? Thanks for your thoughts. Take care.

Terry
