Welcome to the group. I have complex partial seizures and have had them
since I was a baby, which was about 40 years ago.I never had any kids
myself, because I was always afraid of hurting them during a seizure. That
is something my mom worried herself to death over everytime I had a seizure,
so I know it isn't easy to watch your children go through something like
that.I have been monitored in the hospital with EEG's and MRI's and
sometimes VEEG's.Afterward I had brain surgery, which was about 5 years ago.
I went 9 months without a seizure, but they started back, but they are not
near as bad as they were before I had the surgery.I don't have any regrets
as far as having the surgery done. It cut the seizures down to just a few
each month.He will have to be checked to see if he is a candidate for it. I
hope it helps if you decide to have it done.Take care and if there is
anything I can do, write anytime.
