Donna,

Take it from me- I've taken 2000 mg/day of that stuff also and I harbored
these thoughts about my doctor too. And everyone else. "This guy is losing
it!" sounds like a Keppra thought.

My 72 hour EEG (or however many hours it was, 72 or 96) found spikes like
that also. But that was pre-Keppra.

I totally agree with you that 2000 to 3000 sounds like a big jump for
Keppra, especially if it's not extended release. I wouldn't want to suddenly
hop up another 1000 mg of that stuff daily; I might have killed somebody. On
2000 mg I was telling my wife to hide things from me because I was afraid I
might smash them. Sometimes I wonder if neurologists should prescribe
themselves these drugs once so they understand what it is they're
prescribing. I have half a bottle left over and I sometimes get tempted to
swallow one again just to remember what the trip was like.

Some people love Keppra. But I can't stop talking about it because I'm so
amazed by what it turned me into. I eventually lost my emotions; I was like
a walking talking gravestone.
