Spicy Hummus - 5g Carbs, 1g Fiber

[Recipe suggests serving with pita bread or chips... but some
healthy carb vegetables would be a good high fiber healthy
alternative. Also, the recipe calls for products sold by this
company. They are good products but make substitutions as you

1/2 cups Eden Foods Garbanzo Beans
1/4 tsp Swanson Organic Garlic Powder
1/4 cup tahini
1/4 tsp Swanson Organic Cayenne Pepper
1/2 tsp Swanson Organic Ground Cumin
2 Tbsp lemon juice
1/2 cup Swanson Olive Oil
1/2 tsp Swanson Himalayan Crystal Salt
1/2 tsp Swanson Organic Peppercorns, ground
3 Tbsp chopped parsley leaves

Put the garbanzo, garlic and tahini in food processor. Pulse until
it becomes paste-like, adding a few tablespoons of water if needed.
Add the cayenne pepper, cumin and lemon juice and pulse again until
combined. With the motor running slowly add the olive oil until it
is emulsified. Add the parsley and pulse until combined. Season with
salt and pepper to taste.

Transfer to a small bowl and serve with pita bread or chips.

Makes approximately: 2 1/4 cups (18 servings)
Serving size: 2 tablespoons
