It isn't a function of this group to advise on what is okay or not okay for diabetics to eat. Our function is to provide a wide variety of recipes that diabetics can fit into the dietary parameters they have been prescribed and/or have worked out themselves.
So, I can tell you this much:
Agave syrup, made from agave plants, consists of fructose and glucose. In other words, it is basically sugar.
Stevia is an extract from the stevia plant that is naturally very sweet. It contains no sugars. Truvia is a commercial brand of stevia combined with sugar alcohols.
