[epilepsy] side effects to meds

 

i take topamax 300mg am and 400mg pm. I also take
neurontin300mg 3x daily (for nerve pain). I
recently started taking Lyrica but had way too
many side effects! I had blurred vision, headache,
double vision, dizziness, didn't feel like myself,
felt high, dry mouth with extreme thirst (i am
drinking 4200 ml a day that is 1 1/2 gallons a day),
increased depression greatly, loss of appetite, it
ncreased neurological pain and that was one of the
reason I was taking it in addition to the seizures,
bladder incontinence, etc.

Now, my doctor is going to start me on Keppra
instead of the Lyrica. he will be doing this at
my next appointment next week on Wednesday. Has
anyone taking Keppra? did you have good or bad
results with it? I am so sensitive with meds.

I also have MANY other health conditions to contend
with and that play a factor in the treatment plan.
for instance, my neurologist/pain specialist is
trying to treat my central pain, RSD, and trigeminal
neuralgia also. He is trying to find one magic pill
to treat all, and there is no such thing. every
condition is different! Does anyone have any of my
conditions other conditions also or another condition
with epilepsy?
