[epilepsy] epilepsy

    Catherine,
I have had a seizure conditon for almost 49 years as my 1st seizure was at 5 months old on Thanksgiving day in 1960. My 2nd one was Jan. 1961. At that time a doctor diagnosed me as having a seizure disorder. I thought in my teenaged years about smoking pot as some of my friends were doing it and they told me I would heal myself from my auras I was having. I was always afraid pot would make my condition worse with taking dilantin & meberal then in those years so I never tried it.  I would suggest you check the foods you are eating and see if MSG, CARRAGEENAN and other MSG additives are triggering your brain to have these seizures.     Back in the 60's & 70's foods gave me trouble as some that had artificial sweetners, some fats in dairy and ham products with nitrates gave me auras then. I had no knowledge of MSG then but I sure now it never helped me then years ago.  Now 35 years later I can get Grand Mals from the same type
of foods or any foods with MSG, CARRAGEENAN in ''dairy'' that was not known then either, & Nitrates. Maybe you should eliminate some foods and see if you feel better by not eating what you've been eating. That where I would start as MSG and CARRAGEENAN will overpower any normal  amount of medicine someone takes. I'm sure in some cases when the medicines do not work, all the MSG's and CARRAGEENAN can really do their damage. www.sellingsalesmanship.com.msginfo/html  www.truthinlabeling.org  www.msgtruth..org  Check out the sites there to know how these chemicals can destroy any persons brain young or old alike, people are the victims of the FDA. Maybe you can be careful what you eat, but your never 100% sure a food is 100% safe to eat if you believe the food industries lies. Hope this helped.  Craig
