Well, *I* appreciate you posting your experiment, Andy!
It is something I am struggling with, too...
For instance, when I was eating virtually vegetarian (but 'all day'), my
morning shake was loaded with carbs: 2 oranges, cup strawberries, cup
blueberries, 1/2 banana, 2 handfuls spinach, 1 T flax seed. It kept me very
satisfied for easily 4 hrs. alert, too.
When I felt I wasn't getting enough protein, I'd add my scoop of whey
protein to the above, but prob reduced the carbs by half. I was hungry
sooner and sleepy.
I have had to reduce the amnt of carbs even more (meaning reducing
calories). Makes no sense to me, but I stay satisfied longer and am alert,
once again.
So, for now, for me, as I mix Fast5 and 'all day' eating, I must cut the
cals/carbs way down on my 'all day' eating to keep alert and satisfied.
I want to get a good month of increasing my protein (from having it so low
from my vegetarian diet) then I'll give F5 another daily go! 2 more weeks!
