Andrienne,
What meds are you taking? I don't know that anybody can
tell for sure about your brain and your memory. Did your
Dr. put you on more meds or add another when you had your
szs.
Do you have your blood tested periodically? I have mine
tested every year and if I have a sz it gets tested again
for the level of the meds I am taking.
I suggest you do things that use your brain -- like word
games, crossword puzzles, jig saw puzzles -- anything that
uses your brain. It is good for everybody to do that. They
also suggest that for us older folks to keep our brains active.
47 yrs ago--at the age of 30 I was diagnosed (DX) with EP. I
then had 3 daughters 2, 4, and 6 plus a husband (Now ex). It
usually took a week to get over a GM seizure. About 15 years
ago they changed to more like complex partial szs.
Writing notes to yourself helps to remember also. People who
don't have EP need to do that also -- especially if they are
quite busy.
