On second thought the memory loss could be a product of too high levels of the anti ep medication so you should have this checked. Then are you taking any over the counter meds or have you just started doing this and somehow dont think of these as medications because they are not prescription items? Remember its often the INTERACTION of prescription meds or prescription meds with OTCs that cause undesirable results even though by itself each med is in the therapeutic range. Look at how Anna Nicole ended, and possibly Michael Jackson too. Corinna cmichal427@yahoo.

I too have poor recall . I'm not sure sometimes if it's brain tumor, chemo or epilepsy. I decided not to get stressed, I find thinking too hard just triggers a seizures. I have the 2 min span for recall. If I loss track of words or conversation; "Brain fart" is my response and the thought finally comes. Then I can respond. The harder I try to recall the longer it takes. Keeping my calm works best for me.

Hi Tammy,
What is epilepsy related is the problem of retrieval of words when speaking.. This is a common epilepsy problem (my problem since 1975) which causes people to substitute words as they speak. Which in turn makes what we say a little more difficult for others to understand what we are trying to speak about (smile). I'm an expert at causing others to stare at me looking like they haven't a clue what I tried to say (smile)! Take care, keep a smile on your face!
