I happen to use a computer a lot and find it is better and cheaper to keep them in a directory. If you do this, I recommend getting an external hard drive. I back up all these photos every month and keep the hard drive in a fire proof box in the basement. At the end of each year I delete all the backups except the last one. This allows me to use the hard drive longer and most of it is a duplication. Should I loose the computer at any time, I will have it. I also do this with other laptops family members have to make sure their photos or other work is saved separately.
Investing is a good photo album program to view the photos also helps. I use Flip Album.
Best of luck. It is great to have triggers that help remember things.

P.S. yes a DVD back up will also work well. I did that before I purchased the external hard drive.

CBI,
That sounds like a good idea. Do you put them on DVD or
paper?
